Kickass Kids of the Day: Craving a midweek pick-me-up? Perhaps in the form of a mini-hipster rendition of Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend”?

Twelve- and 8-year-old sisters Lennon and Maisy — and their butter containers — have you covered. You’re welcome.

So currently I am reading Live from New York : An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live, and it is amazing. Easily one of the most interesting books I have it read, it is so fascinating to learn how to whole thing started and how honest everyone is. I’m so glad that Tom Shales and James Andrew Miller created this book, and that Lorne asked them to write it.

This kind of selective coverage really shows what the NYT considers their primary demographic, not to mention what they consider “news.”  As you can clearly see in their absolute and pathetic failure to push for regulation on Wall St., it’s not a “crime” to the NYT unless it threatens the complacent security of wealthy or upper-middle class white heterosexuals.  Wouldn’t be wonderful if “news” meant “things it’s important for you to know” rather than “things you should be anxious about”?
Also, in response to a recent ask question about why I spend so much time criticizing the New York Times.  The answer is that, in addition to being (supposedly) among the more “liberal” of the major dailies, many people consider it “America’s newspaper of record.”  Who watches the watchmen?

I actually think that the “6 year old white kid article from a 33 year old case” is on the front page because the case was the first child disappearance that created the faces on the milk cartons. This boy was the first face to appear on the side of the milk carton, and changed the way missing persons kids were dealt with forever. I do think sometimes the news can ignore issues but that would be why in this particular case this article is front page news. Anyways not trying to make anyone mad just trying to explain why people care about this topic.
